PERSONAL TRAINER

Hi, I'm Cindy Meeks and I am one of the personal trainers here at ECFC. Throughout my years as a trainer I have coached and supported dozens of people through their health and fitness journeys. Although I have trained individuals ranging from every age and level, I especially enjoy training females to meet their needs in whichever phase of life they are currently in. I love training and instilling confidence in individuals that are new to fitness, whether it be by breaking the intimidation of a weight room or achieving proper movement form and foundations. I also enjoy helping experienced exercisers by incorporating different training variations, new technique styles, or varying apparatus to their existing knowledge bank. I specialize in progressive overload training for longevity with an emphasis in functional movement, core training, traditional weight lifting and a session finisher with mobility and stretching.

My background and love for exercise began and was instilled in me at a very young age when my mother was, and still is, a group exercise instructor. I was raised in a home where doing home exercise videos (shout out to Buns of Steel and The Firm) was a daily occurrence that my sisters, mom and I all participated in. I began attending group exercise classes as early as they would allow me, but as I got older I navigated towards the weight room where I fell in love with strength training. I graduated from Anderson University with a degree in Human Services and Resources with an emphasis in Human Services, and undergrad studies in Kinesiology.

When I'm not in the gym or training I am usually on a sports field somewhere with my husband and our two boys watching their love for sports, athletics, and fitness unfold. We are especially busy with our young multi-sport athletes and if we do get any downtime at all we are usually just trying to recover! However, I also love the outdoors, gardening, hiking, and yoga.
